I was so surprised when I received a comment from the lovely Kirsty Maynard saying that she had tagged me for the Liebster Award. I was so grateful as I have only been blogging now for about 2 months, and it put a huge smile on my face that she thought I deserved some recognition - thanks so much!
The idea of the award is a way to find new blogs that have less then 200 followers so they can be seen by more people. It also helps your followers/readers to get to know you a bit more. There are so many great blogs out there and I think this award is such a cool thing to be going around the blogging sphere.
Kirsty's tag only had 10 questions but I have seen so many blogs where there are 11 questions and you tag 11 blogs, so I have added an 11th blog and question.
QUESTIONS LEFT FOR ME //
001. What's your favourite piece of winter clothing?
I absolutely love winter weather (crazy, right?) so I have quite a few favourite pieces for winter. It’s a tie between ankle booties and snoods (or infinity) scarves.
002. Flats or High Heels?
I wear flats way more than heels, but I love heels, I own lots and if I had more courage I’d wear them everyday... but I guess I have to say flats.
003. What was/is your favourite lesson in High School?
High school was 5 years ago for me now (geez, so old now!), my favourite subject was Graphics – for those of you unfamiliar, it’s basically like architecture, a lot of technical drawing, design etc, which I loved because I ended up with a degree in Architectural Studies. Those 5 years of graphics really helped and paid off!
004. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have one lovely younger sister, we are 2 and a half years apart.
005. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
New York. I didn't even have to think twice about that one. Bring on the architecture and hundreds of galleries pretty please!
006. What made you start your blog?
I spend so much time watching beauty gurus on Youtube, reading heaps of fashion and beauty blogs that I just wanted to be a part of it all! I also just love makeup so why not write and photograph it (a huge passion of mine). It’s also helping my writing skills and giving me a little creative hobby amongst all the academic study and essay writing, that I am enjoying so much.
007. Favourite make up brand?
I had to think about this one, and I have to go with Maybelline. They do some many products I love (their concealers and mascaras are amazing!).
008. What songs are you currently listening to on repeat?
Loving Ellie Goulding’s second helping of her album Halcyon – Halcyon Days. Also Drake’s new single ‘Hold On (We’re Going Home)’. I could name so many more... but I shall leave it at that.
009. What’s the best way to spend your day?
Hmm.... have a wee sleep in, go out for a super yummy brunch with good coffee, read some blogs and spend some time on Tumblr and Pinterest (obsessed with them) and finish it up with mid-afternoon cocktails in the sun, followed by a night out with good friends – sounds like a brilliant day to me!
010. What couldn't you leave your house without?
Cliche, but, my phone. Oh, and I’d probably need some money...
